WAYS TO CONNECT at OAKDALE! METHODIST YOUTH FOUNDATION: Meets Sunday Evenings at 5:30, and Wednesdays at 3:45. KIDS SUNDAY SCHOOL: There are 2 Sunday school classes offered for kids during the 9:30 am worship service. A nursery is also provided during both services. ACORN KIDS: Acorn Kids is an after school program offered on Wednesday afternoons during the school year to kids of all ages. There is a snack and a program from 3:45 – 5:30 pm. SERVICE AT STEPHENVILLE NURSING HOME: Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am. TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: The Tuesday morning Bible study meets during the school year from 10:00 – 11:30 am on Tuesday mornings. They study a variety of topics and childcare is provided. UNITED METHODIST MEN: The United Methodist Men are meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 am at a member’s house for fellowship and study. UNITED METHODIST WOMEN: The United Methodist Women meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. They do a program, participate in local and global missions, and attend district and conference events. OTHER MINISTRIES: Oakdale participates in a variety of other ministries, which include the support of Backpack Buddies, the Tarleton Wesley Foundation, Compassion Counseling Center, missionaries in Panama, and providing community assistance to families in need in partnership with other churches. We have a ministry building wheelchair ramps through Texas Ramp Project and offer a Faith Community Nursing program. We do an annual clothing give away and participate in Angel Tree through Cross Timbers Family Services.
